A Question of Dreams is a mystery that will keep you guessing, and turning pages. Who hasn’t wondered about the adventures we have when we’re asleep in our beds at night? Do dreams tell us anything about our lives? Should we search them for meaning? Heed their warnings?
Unlike most of us, Dr. Lee Griffith doesn’t ask these questions. She is a scientist whose long career keeps her occupied with the daylight world of human behavior. She knows her work, her husband, her grown children. She knows her past.
But one night, as she’s falling asleep, she hears something strange. And everything she thought she knew begins to shift and fade away. What’s happening to her? And what’s happening to her husband? What’s real? Can she trust her own mind? |

The maps she’s made for her life fall apart. She’s tumbled into nightmare, searching for answers in dark and luminous places that she’s never seen before. Or has she?
“…an excellent novel. The story will pull in readers, and stay with them long after they have finished, just as it has with me.” Mary Anne Maier, co-author of The Leap Years: Women Reflect on Change, Loss and Love

Soon after she was born, Amanda Harrison’s family left Missouri to follow her father in and out of the military through two wars. Finally they came to rest on the east coast. There she finished elementary school, junior high and high school, venturing south for college and to marry, then returning for graduate school. After tending a long career in applied psychology, she shed the old ways and moved west to find her life as a writer, put aside years before.
